Bywell Beat
River Tyne

Not far from the Scottish border, the 117 kilometer long Tyne is making a comeback as the most productive salmon and sea trout river in England and Wales. The numbers are so impressive that they even outshine better-known Scottish beats.

Since the 1st December, 2023, the well-known Bywell beat has now been in the hands of Fly Fishing Nation Syndicate under the leadership of Marina Gibson and Stephan Dombaj. The duo bring more than two decades of experience in the outfitting, exploration and guiding business between them and are poised to revitalize the fishery in the Tyne Valley near Newcastle.

Bywell Salmon Fishing offers a variety of fishing packages to suit all levels of experience. Whether you prefer bank, boat or wading fishing, we have something to suit you. Our ghillies and instructors will help you make the most of your time on this stunning beat, home to some of the best salmon fishing in England.

Marina Gibson and Stephan Dombaj will be running a few salmon courses throughout the 2024 season.

Agua Boa Lodge
Brazil

The Agua Boa Amazon Lodge is located on the Agua Boa river. During the dry season, October through March, the Agua Boa becomes a fly-fisherman’s jewel. Situated almost 200 miles north west of the Brazilian city of Manaus in deep jungle, the Agua Boa river flows from its source high in the Mocidade mountains through a stunning landscape of almost uninhabited rain forest and savannah.

Please Note:

Gratuities and overnight stay in Manaus are not included in the package.

The ultimate fly-fishing experience is on the Agua Boa. Imagine sight-fishing for the jungle’s fiercest fighting fish, the Peacock Bass, as your Brazilian guide poles you down the sand flats. Additionally, fishermen can fish for Pirahna, the Pirarucu, the Arowana, the Pacu, and the countless other species that inhabit the Agua Boa.

For the winter of 2024, the trip cost is $7700 - double occupancy (that’s roughly £6,500 at present). Price includes six and a half days of fishing, charter to and from the lodge, accommodations at the lodge, beer and wine.
